Baby Wisp™ is a Canadian Company dedicated to the design of modern hair accessories for fashion conscious little ones. We specialize in baby and toddler hair clips and headbands. Our vision is that your child's first hair accessory is always going to be Baby Wisp.

We are now a top national brand - available coast to coast in over 300 retailers across Canada. To keep up with our national distribution and keep pricing low, we moved the bulk of our manufacturing overseas to China (2011).
Our URBAN collection of snap clips continue to be exclusively hand-created by local talent in Edmonton and Mississauga ,Canada.
We have personally designed, tested or used the product before bringing to market.
We need to believe in the product's style, form, quality composition and function to add it to our offerings. The reason you can't find the latch clip anywhere else is because we worked on its size, style, composition and applicability for children's custom bows ourselves.

We strive for quality and excellence by;

using non toxic glues & use sewing wherever possible to reduce use of chemicals;
sourcing many of our hair clips from dealers with CPSIA conformity certificates or get our own certificates from accredited labs which means very frequent lead-testing of gems and metals used;
In 2011, we conducted 3 separate tests on a variety of clips including our snap clips and latch clips that have passed the <90 ppm lead conformity laws in children's products.
In 2012, we have also already conducted 3 lead tests on our latch clips and rhinestones and passed with flying colours!

In 2007, my daughter was born.

baby hair clips that don't move - creator of baby wisp She didn't have much hair and was constantly mistaken for a boy and though there were some very cool accessories I could find for her, I enjoyed creating beautiful yet simple hair accessories that had my own style stamp on it and coordinated perfectly with her outfits. I had never been on mat leave before and after working hard on a career after University before 'the baby', I found that I needed to be engaged in something outside the home also...and a creative outlet, something mine. I leveraged my creative side to cut up tule, feathers, ribbon, satin, organza, sew on beads, bust out the hot glue gun and created some hilarious, some elegant, and some casual looks she could wear every day that clearly spelled out that SHE'S A GIRL! That's what it means, when you see "Designed in Canada" on our products as I continue to be the chief creator of our hair accessories. I dedicate many many hours per week in my workshop figuring out the perfect dimensions, materials and high quality ways (like hand-stitching) of keeping our bows and clips lasting a long time and keep up with my commitment to launch trendy new products every season. It's part of my world here at Baby Wisp and it's the most enjoyable part of this gig so I ain't giving it up! :)

That's how it started. Fast forward, 3 years - Baby Wisp has grown across the country now and our hair accessories are now available in every province in around 300 stores! It wasn't easy getting to this point but it's like a dream come true and a perfect fit for my current family life so THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR STOPPING BY TO VISIT BABYWISP.COM!

SPECIAL Thanks and big ups to all our friends and family who let us test out baby wisps™ in thin wispy hair, thick afro-y hair, short hair, long hair, baldies, little heads and big heads. I also want to thank my husband and family for supporting my decision to ditch the office job! woohoo!! :) I look forward to what lies ahead for us. Shipping Information

We currently ship out twice a week. See table at bottom for summary of costs/ delivery times.

$3 flat rate anywhere in Canada on upto 10 hair clip items that can fit into regular mail for $3.00 (within Canada) and $4.00 (within the U.S.). This takes between 5 and 9 business days after ship out. Items that are on a super duper sale such as sale tutus or items like the Booties (we can only fit 2 booties maximum per envelope for $3) and other bulky items that REQUIRE parcel service, Baby Wisp cannot incur the shipping costs for you. Please understand, charging $9.95 flat rate parcel shipping is likely Baby Wisp still subsidizing the cost for you especially to western provinces.

If you want insurance, tracking and guaranteed delivery dates CHOOSE $9.95 and $14.95.

For 3 bucks:

no insurance;
no tracking;
no guaranteed delivery date.

*We are not responsible for Canada Post losing your parcel if you did not purchase insurance.*

For U.S. customers - please note that registered mail does not provide a tracking number, only confirmation of whether or not it was received. If you require tracking while parcel is in transit, we cannot use Canada Post and U.S.P.S, but we can use UPS or FEDEX. Please email us info@babywisp.com for details.

Remember that bulky items that are on sale will automatically get charged shipping which is not money in our pockets, it's money to Canada Post....(ask yourself "Is this envelope width gonna be thicker than 2cm?" ). Then YES, you need parcel service.

Store Policies

Baby Wisp™accepts returns and exchanges for regular priced items purchased via its Web site within 10 days of receipt of shipment. All sales are FINAL SALE. No item will be accepted that is not in its original condition. Please email info@babywisp.com regarding any circumstances outside these conditions.

We will refund the entire amount of the original product purchase or offer an exchange for equal or lesser value (your choice), but will not pay return shipping. Ship all returns pre-paid and insured for your own protection. We will refund your original method of payment within one week of receipt.

Returns will only be made for regular priced items that can be verified to have been purchased through our Web site. Baby Wisp will not accept returns nor exchanges for items purchased at retail locations or sample sales. A copy of the invoice or gift receipt that accompanied your Web order must be included with returns or exchanges.

We do not share our customer data. Period.

These products ARE NOT TOYS and you should never allow your child to put these in their mouth. Never leave a child unattended. These clips are not recommended for unsupervised children under 3 because if they put it into their mouths it is a choking hazard (because of small parts). In general, please remove all your child's hair accessories before naps, car rides (when they are out of your reach) daycare, bedtime etc. The hair clips are certainly adorably teeny but because they are so small and could potentially become a choking hazard.
