 ... and we continue to bring you many other urban baby goods and accessories.   Our products are designed in Canada and to keep up with our national distribution, we have recently moved the bulk of our manufacturing overseas to China.  Our URBAN collection continues to be exclusively hand-created by local talent in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

 One of the many things you will appreciate about us is that we have personally designed, tested or used the product before bringing to market so you know that we don't just sell anything at baby wisp^TM.  We need to believe in the product's style, form or function to add it to our offerings.  Join our facebook fan page where we often ask for Fan help in testing and feedback.

We ensure our glues are non toxic (& use sewing wherever possible to reduce use of chemicals) and source many of our hair clips from dealers with conformity certificates (conforms to Children's Product Safety Commission rules for safety in children's products) or get our own certificates from accredited labs.  We are committed to lead-free products by periodically and random sampling our clips for laboratory testing with CPSIA certified labs.  In 2011, we have already conducted 3 separate tests on a variety of clips including our snap clips and latch clips that have passed the <90 ppm lead conformity laws in children's products. We can stand firmly behind the quality and content of our products.

Creator Background 

  In 2007, my daughter was born.

She didn't have much hair and was constantly mistaken for a boy so I could only do one thing to up my game on her adorable non-pink outfits...and that was to create beautiful yet simple hair accessories that she could wear every day.  I designed some bows and crocheted flowers that were a hit with friends and family because it was totally wearable stuff.  I got noticed by a few baby boutiques who got noticed by some other customers who told their favorite boutiques and you see where this is going....  Soon, I couldn't make it all myself and keep up with national marketing, sales & distribution.  I invested or should I say "vested" this company so here we are.     It's been 3 years already I just can't believe it.  Baby Wisp has grown across the country now with a national distributor opening doors for us to explode into the retail sector.  We've been featured on a few blogs (- yes REAL mommies who loooooooove how well our clips work) and some American sites and stores have also featured us.  I want customers to see us and see how different we are.   The latch clip is my pride and joy right now because there is nothing like it out there. I saw this problem with traditional clips staying in and how frustrated moms were about having to put grips and goopy stuff on clips for that super thin and silky hair and so I worked hard on something revolutionary and this is it.  If you haven't tried it yet, trust me -as I've tested it on over 100 heads now - this is the ultimate in hair clip staying power.  This has been so much fun, I hope to start chronicling this journey a little better it's just beginning - I'm looking forward to "upping my game" some more. ;)
